Jim Fiore serves as Senior Vice President for Wheels Up, a membership-based private aviation company. Jim brings to Wheels Up a results-driven mindset as an executive with extensive experience in business development, marketing, and events operations. Having served in leadership and advisory roles in the sports industry, Jim’s record of bringing stability to organizations and transforming them through positive change make him an asset to Wheels Up.

After receiving his B.A. from Hofstra University and an M. Ed degree in Athletic Administration from Springfield College, Jim built a successful career working in sports management. After starting out as an Executive Assistant for the NCAA’s National Invitation Tournament, Jim worked his way up to serve in senior leadership roles for the athletic departments at Dartmouth College and Princeton University.

In 2003 Jim accepted a position as Director of Athletics for Stony Brook University (SBU). During his tenure at SBU, Jim presided over one of the most remarkable transformations in college athletics history. Under his leadership as Athletic Director, Stony Brook won 41 conference championships (the school had won just a single championship before Fiore’s arrival in 2003) and saw its University athletic budget expand from $7 million to $23 million.

Jim played an instrumental role in growing Stony Brook’s football program from zero scholarships to fully-funded status and helped attain fully-funded status, too, for all of Stony Brook’s women’s athletic programs. In 2012, Jim had the honor of being named Under Armour Northeast Region Athletics Director of the Year. That same year, Stony Brook’s athletic successes reached an all-time high when its baseball team competed in the College World Series.

Jim is a former consultant to the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils. He has also served as Partner, President, and CEO of Dynamic Sports Management (DSM), a sports management firm based in the New York Metropolitan area. At DSM, Jim developed a business model designed to drive the firm’s revenue growth and was instrumental in raising the profile of DSM’s events and entertainment operations.

Jim Fiore is a natural-born leader. The success he’s achieved on behalf of institutions and organizations speaks for itself. In his current executive role, Jim is excited to contribute to the future success of Wheels Up and is eager to see the company grow and thrive. Jim has one child, Michael, and resides in Long Beach, New York.
